Kot mogočna skala kraljuje Palagruža sredi morja. Družbo ji delajo Mala Palagruža in nekaj deset skal ter čeri. Ko smo odpluli iz Visa proti 70 navtičnih milj oddaljenem italijanskem mestu Vieste, se je na obzorju najprej izgubil Vis, zatem Sušac, šele potem smo uzrli Palagružo. Njene strme pečine se dvigajo do 90 metrov visoko, na sredini otoka pa kraljuje svetilnik.
Like a mighty rock reigns Palagruza in the middle of Adriatic sea, with the company of Mala Palagruza and a few dozen rocks and cliffs. When we sailed from Vis to 70 nautical miles distant Italian town of Vieste, we first lost the view of Vis on the horizon and later of the Sušac island and only then we spotted the mighty Palagruža. Its steep cliffs are rising up to 90 meters high and in the middle of the island dominates the lighthouse.
